Privacy statement & Cookie policy

Applicability

This privacy statement applies to all privacy-sensitive information or personal data that you provide to us, for example, via a contact form. We highly value the privacy of our clients and therefore exercise the utmost care in handling and protecting personal data. We process data in accordance with the conditions set by the General Data Protection Regulation (‘GDPR’). Teslin is the data controller within the meaning of the GDPR concerning the processing of your personal data. This means that we alone determine which personal data are processed, for what purpose, and in what manner. We are responsible for ensuring that your personal data are processed properly and carefully in accordance with the GDPR. In this privacy statement, we explain which data we process and for what purposes they are used.

Overview of Personal Data
Below is an overview of the personal data we process:

  • Last name and initials
  • Gender
  • Phone number
  • Email and home address
  • Company name
  • IP address of a website visitor
  • Other data provided to us in connection with enrollment in one of our funds.

Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data
By agreeing to this privacy statement, you explicitly consent within the meaning of Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR to the processing of your personal data for the purposes outlined below. You may withdraw this consent at any time. However, if you do not provide certain data to us or allow us to process them, we may not be able to serve you properly.

If you have not given us explicit consent to process your personal data, or if you have withdrawn your consent, the legal bases of Articles 6(1)(b), (c), and/or (f) of the GDPR may apply to the processing of your personal data. In that case, the processing of your personal data may take place without your consent, provided it is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party, or for the legitimate interests of Teslin. Additionally, we may have a legal obligation to process your personal data.

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Sending our newsletter and/or invitations to events
  • Calling or emailing you when necessary to perform our services
  • Informing you about changes to our services and products

We do not retain your personal data longer than necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data are collected.

Disclosure to Third Parties
We may share your personal data with third parties if it is compatible with the purposes mentioned above. Disclosure to third parties may be necessary for the execution of the agreement we conclude with you, for the protection of a legitimate interest of ours, or to comply with a legal obligation imposed on us. We enter into data processing agreements with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure a similar level of security and confidentiality of your data. We remain responsible for these processing activities. Outside of these situations, we will only share your personal data with other third parties with your explicit consent.

Commercial Purposes
We may use your personal data for commercial purposes, such as informing you about our services. You will only be contacted via the email address or phone number you provided. If you do not wish to receive information about relevant products or services, you can simply opt out by clicking ‘unsubscribe’ in the received email.

Your personal data will also be used for market research and to optimize our services. In this context, your personal data will be anonymized and will no longer be traceable to you.

Your data will not be sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes unless you explicitly give your consent.

Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet, or smartphone when you first visit this website. You can opt out of these cookies by setting your internet browser to no longer store cookies. You can also delete all previously stored information through your browser settings.

We use the following cookies:

  • Functional cookies: These cookies are necessary for the technical operation of the website and your ease of use. They ensure that the website functions properly and remember your preferred settings. They also help us optimize our website. These are analytical cookies that do not infringe on your privacy, for which we do not require your prior consent.
  • Google Analytics: This website uses cookies from the American company Google as part of the ‘Analytics’ service. Teslin uses this service to obtain reports on website usage and to measure quality and effectiveness. We use Google Analytics in the manner prescribed by the Dutch Data Protection Authority to qualify for the exception under the cookie law, meaning we do not require your prior consent to use Google Analytics.
  • Other tracking cookies used for marketing purposes include Google Adwords, LinkedIn, and Google DoubleClick.

Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your consent to data processing or object to the processing of your personal data. Additionally, you have the right to data portability if we process your digital personal data either with your consent or to execute a contract we have with you.

This means that you can request us to send the digital personal data we hold about you in a readable computer file to you or another organization of your choice.

You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer, withdrawal of your consent, or objection to the processing of your personal data to [email protected].

To ensure that the request for access was made by you, we ask that you send a copy of your identification document along with your request. In this copy, please black out your photo, MRZ (machine-readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and Citizen Service Number (BSN) to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.

We would also like to inform you that you have the right to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
